Manchester United could not get the victory at Old Trafford this Saturday. José Mourinho's team remains sixth in the Premier League.

27th day of Premier League

Manchester United - Bournemouth: 1-1

Goals: Rojo (24th); King (40th, s.p)

After his League Cup victory against Southampton (3-2), Manchester United was back in business this afternoon against Bournemouth at Old Trafford. Very quickly, José Mourinho's men managed to take matters into their own hands. In particular, Pogba and Martial quickly made speak the power of striking the premises. It is quite logical that Rojo, following a tense strike from Valencia, opened the scoring.

Mourinho: "I wish Rooney would be with us next season"

15 minutes after this achievement, Manchester United conceded a penalty. Phil Jones could not do better than a foul on Marc Pugh in the penalty area. King took the best of De Gea to equalize the score. The expulsion of Surman, just before half-time could have been a helping hand for the players led by José Mourinho, then in numerical superiority. And in the second half, the Red Devils will push in order to get the victory before knowing a major turning point in the game.

Consecutively to a header from Pogba, the referee signaled the penalty spot because of a hand committed by Gosling in the open. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, United's provocative man since the beginning of the season, made the choice of a left-footed strike. Boruc, well inspired, was able to repulse the attempt of the Swede. Pogba even had the opportunity to offer the victory to his team but his volley was completely missed. Finally forced to draw on his lawn, Manchester United carried out a bad operation and stagnated in sixth place in the Premier League standings.
