Manchester City Vs Huddersfield Town

Manchester City suffocated Huddersfield in his eighth-finals at the Cup. Aguero again offered a double.

1/8 Round of the Cup
Manchester City-Huddersfield: 5-1
Goals: L. Sané (30th), Aguero (35th s.p., 73rd), Zabaleta (38th), Iheanacho (91st); Bunn (7th)

Manchester City has regained all its striking force. And this is not good news for AS Monaco. Hooked on the outside by Huddersfield 10 days ago, Pep Guardiola's team was ruthless for the same formation during the replay played at home. A week after his great outing against the leader of the Ligue 1, the team of Light Blues provided an equally attractive performance on the offensive plane.

Guardiola leaves Hart in uncertainty

Despite an overloaded schedule, the Catalan coach decided to align his best team for this meeting, with one or two exceptions. In midfield, he brought in the young Spanish Aleix Garcia. Still, it was the visitors who were the first to score through Harry Bunn. The latter put the leather between Claudio Bravo's feet, causing a nightmarish night to the faithful of the Etihad Stadium. But logic was soon restored.

Once revived, the Citizens left no chance for their opponents. Leroy Sané and Pablo Zabaleta scored before the break on clear strokes, and Sergio Aguero also made a penalty in the meantime. It was 3-1, but the locals did not lift their foot. In the second half, Raheem Sterling, of a close up, and Kelechi Iheanacho gave to this success the appearance of correction. City was ripping off his ticket for the quarter-finals. In the next round, his task will be a little more complicated as he will challenge Middlesbrough.
