Eibar vs Real Madrid

Despite a decimated squad, Real had no difficulty in overcoming Eibar this Saturday. Karim Benzema was in all the good moves of his team.
26th day of the Liga
Eibar-Real Madrid: 1-4
Goals: Pena (72 '); Benzema (14th, 25th), James Rodriguez (29th), Asensio (60th)
Febrile mid-week against Las Palmas, where he narrowly escaped defeat, Real Madrid delivered a much more consistent match this Saturday in the field of Eibar. On the lawn of the 7th in the standings, the Merengues attacked the meeting at the right end. What they have rarely done lately. This successful initiation was profitable to them since they were able to annihilate very quickly the opposing wishes. Karim Benzema was the most prominent Madrider, being involved on all the goals included in his training.

Without a successful league in almost two months, Benzema proved that he knew how to ignore the critics and respond on the field. The quarter-hour of the match had not yet passed that he had already hit. On a close and two-stage recovery, he unblocked the situation and put his family in the best conditions. He was putting it off ten minutes later. On a free kick by James Rodriguez, he suddenly emerged at the penalty spot to take control of the leather and secure the break.
With two goals scored, the Frenchman had already succeeded in his match, thus forgetting the absences of his attacking companions, Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale. But he was not satisfied with it. In the 29th minute of play, he abandoned his striker's costume for the passer and allowed James Rodriguez to enter his very first goal in the championship for five months. It was 3-0 and the outcome was no longer in doubt.
With this comfortable lead, Real has somewhat let loose. This was understandable given the expected European deadline. The second period was therefore logically more balanced. The Merengues were able to add a fourth goal through Marco Asensio. The young Spanish ideally concluded an action, sparked by ... Benzema. The visitors' night could have been perfect without the 70th minute goal from Pena. While the entire Madrid defense had stopped playing thinking of a mistake made on Nacho, the latter was ahead of Keylor Navas. For the Costa Rican goalkeeper, it was far from anecdotal. By being deceived, he exceeded his total of goals taken over the previous campaign of the Liga.
