Watford Vs West Ham United

The Hornets seemed ready for victory until the Ghana international emerged with an equalizer deep in the second period

Andre Ayew scored on his return to action for West Ham to win a 1-1 Premier League tie against Watford injury at Vicarage Road, where Mauro Zarate was stretched.

A combination of injuries and the African Cup of Nations delayed Ayew's first season for the hammers, joining for Swansea club record fees, but his strike on the bench secured a deserved point for visitors.

Watford seemed about to climb over West Ham and find themselves in the first half of the table as they were leading for 70 minutes, but the injuries of Zarate and Daryl Janmaat on both sides of the Half-time have wreaked havoc.

West Ham put in a two-goal lead to lose the home game in September, as one of their first league games at the London Stadium hinted at the breathtaking nature of their season.

And, with both sides seemingly immune to the downside, another funny affair seemed to be on the cards when Troy Deeney converted an early penalty.

But chances were few for the rest of the first half, and Ayew's goal would be to see both sides share the loot, with a late red card for Michail Antonio refusing Slaven Bilic's men the possibility of Hunt a winner.
