Tottenham Hotspur Vs Stoke City

The striker is now the top scorer of the Premier League while he helped his team rebound after the pain of the Europa League midweek

A hat-trick Harry Kane in the first half inspired Tottenham to a 4-0 victory over Stoke City in the Premier League on Sunday.

England international scored his fourth high for the club and transformed the provider for Dele Alli to send the side of Mauricio Pochettino second in the table.

The Spurs endured a tough match at Wembley this week when they left the Europa League at the hands of Gent but there would be no hangover from their European pains because they sent a terrible Stoke side into the First half.

Kane - who disappointed the 2-2 draw with the Belgians - opened the scoring with his 100th goal at the club level before making it 2-0 with a sublime half-volley with 32 minutes of play.

The 23-year-old's free-kick allowed him to win his second hat-trick as an appearance in the national competition, and he created Alli to score 4-0 before the break to cap a ruthless performance.

It was a routine affair for the Spurs during the second half, with Stoke accepting their fate, with the local selection returning to 10 points from leader Chelsea, while Mark Hughes remains 10th.

Spurs took advantage of the best of a very quiet opening, but had the captain of Stoke to thank for the opening goal.
