Real Madrid Vs Espanyol

Real Madrid confirmed their first place in the Liga thanks to a short success against Espanyol Barcelona (2-0). Morata and Bale have scored.

Four days after their rout in Paris, the Barcelonans certainly had to watch the performance of Real Madrid this Saturday, against another of their rivals, Espanyol. A rather contrasting game for the men of Zidane, dominators in first period and much less inspired after the rest.

Real Madrid, Morata more effective than Cristiano Ronaldo

The first half-hour saw the Merengue monopolize the ball without finding any lags. The first serious opportunity came after a strike by Cristiano Ronaldo that Alvaro Morata was very close to deviate (30th). Ronaldo and Morata both offside on a registered goal from the head in stride (31st). Increasingly heavy, Morata finally managed to find the fault on a precise center of Isco. The Spanish striker ended with a powerful head stung (1-0, 33rd). With this new goal, the trained Cantera striker confirmed his success this season, posting the team's highest success rate, ahead of CR7!

Intenable, Morata was even close to the double just before the break, without success this time (38th). The Real was then more rough in the last move for much of the second period. Worse, the Spaniard could even equalize on a dangerous shot from Hernan Perez in the hour of play (62 '), but the Merengues finally resisted this weak time to better drive the nail late in the game. And as a symbol, it was Gareth Bale, who made his big comeback in the competition, who took on the goal of the KO (2-0, 83rd) - his sixth of the season. Real capitalizes. And with at least one goal scored in the last 42 matches, it is even a record.
